i think that fish oil is supposed to make their coats nice and healthy, so i think it probably works with skin as well, you can buy fish oil pills and give them to your dog, for all those vet fanatics out there, i checked with my vet so its fine for dogs, they even make dog fish oil and omega 3 pills.

It's very important to you dog's all around health to give them high quality natural dog food (I've found Nature's Variety to be great - my vet highly recommends it). Secondly, fish oil capsules are excellent for dog allergies and dry skin. Again, this has to be high quality fish oil that you find in health food stores. Some brands like Spectrum sell at other grocery stores in the refrigerated section. Along with giving dogs antioxidants (omega-3s), fish oil can help with human allergies to pet dander, since there is less of it. Hope this helps!

Try purina one sensitive skin dog food, works great. also baby oil or pretty much any non toxic oils will moisten the skin up, also bagbalm it makes them icky for a little while but it makes it to where the skin doesnt dry out as much. she also my have hotspots, i use a medication that i got from walmart for 4$ a bottle called sulfodene works great but any of the oils, and bagbalm also clears up hot spots. so try any of those before changing food. and if it still doesnt get better try the food change for a while and see if the combonation works, if after a month or so of using those ideas contact the vet, but one of those should work.
