I read in a newspaper column that feeding pets with a plastic bowl is not good, that you should only use
regular bowl, not plastic? I'm wondering what the effects of plastic on pets are?

The only thing I've heard...growing up, our oldest cat had feline acne on his chin and the vet said to switch his bowl to ceramic or stainless. We did and his acne almost disappeared!

My parents cats have been using plastic dishes for years, no problems at all.

my cat had acne around his mouth from plastic bowles. They can harbor bacteria in the fine scratches. I use ceramic now and wash them daily.

All of my animals have plastic bowels for the past twenty five years. I have never had any problems. I wash them by hand.
