My step dads dog is literally so stubborn he recently dropped 10 pounds because he refused to eat the food Todd bought for him. Try a new food if the dog is losing weight, otherwise she's probably fine

If your dog is at a good weight it's eating enough. Some dogs seen to have a built in weight control. They eat just what they need to stay at a healthy weight ( wish i did). Dogs that are like that live longer with no weight related problems. One of my dogs is like that. If she's really active that day, she eats. If she lays around all day, like a rainy day, then she does'nt. If you haven't already, have your vet check her out. If she's healthy, then I wouldn't worry. Also try measuring her food and then measure again at the end of the day and see if any is missing.

Sometimes it helps to mix not only the food up, but the way in which you feed it to the dog. Sometimes we'll feed our dogs using Kongs stuffed with their dinner (one gets a raw diet from Natures Variety, the other gets a mix of Natures Variety Instinct dry and Freshpet Select). The Kongs or any kind of treat ball stuffed with the dogs dinner makes it more interesting and also makes them spend some of that mental energy eating instead of going after your favorite pair of sneakers :)

My dog did the same. Sometimes they get tired of the same food and stop eating it. If you give them other dog food they eat it the first time then the next the leave it alone. What we do is we leave the food alone but we heat it up once in a while after half an hour after his normal feeding time he'll eat it because he knows he won't eat anything else.

Is your dog loosing weight? Has this been like this since you have had her - some dogs just dont have much of an appetite. I have a friend who has a dog who doesnt eat alot - here are some things you can do. First of all some dogs if they are excited or think they are missing something by eating.. put them in a confined area while eating - maybe a crate... also try changing the food - not just once but a bunch of times - you might find a food your dog really likes. If your dog isnt loosing any weight i wouldnt worry about it as long as she IS eating. It could also be a medical problem or sore tooth so i would check her mouth to make sure that her mouth is okay - if she backs away from you when she normally wouldnt... she might have a bad tooth and you would have to take her to the vets. Good Luck
