No, it's not "bad." Animals naturally eat grass. I think it helps them digest...either way, you can actually buy grass in a pot to keep in the house for indoor cats! Mine love it and so does the dog. It oftentimes will aide them in vomiting when their bellies are soured.

My cat likes to try to eat timothy hay that is in my rabbits cage. I think he's just curious. You can buy your own "pet grass" that grows in a container and is safe for animals. I think they just like the texture and taste of it.

As long as there is nothing sprayed on the grass you are OK. I have heard that dogs do this when they have an upset stomach.

I have also heard an animal eats grass when a digestive problem is present. Let us all be aware of any possible pesticides that may be present on the grass. As always check with your Vet

I've heard they do it to settle their stomachs. My dogs do it occasionally and it never seems to hurt them

Alot of times when a dog eats grass it is because they have a stomach ache or sour stomach. It normally makes them throw up after they eat it. If they continue I would check with the vet.

It is not bad when a dog or cat eats grass. It usually means their stomach hurts and they eat the grass to make them feel better.
