There are several listings on the web for service dog training. I volunteer with CCI and we have to breed our own dogs sadly to say. We use a certain bloodline. We use only Labs from this bloodline so we know their personality type, temperment etc. Also any health issues etc. We wise we could use rescues and other dogs but we can't. Many organizations are looking for dogs to train. Many are listed under Kennel clubs. Some train for hospital, nursing homes and childrens hospital units. They will work with your dog then they will have to have it certified. IF you are interested in doing nursing home visits etc. You can locate a CCI office as we have people that will test your dog and if it passes will be certified to be a therapy dog. In which you will be allowed as long as the dog is up to date on all shots etc, not ill etc. to visit. You will have to have him trained in the basic tricks. Sit, stay, lay, no jump. Little did you know you could actually keep him and help the community as well. So wonderful of you willing to give him up. It is great to have that love for him and people. You would enjoy working with him in the hospitals etc. Think about it. If you try it I would love to know. Good luck.

Hello! First of all, congratulations for wanting the best for your dog, and wanting him to serve mankind. It's a very unselfish thing to do - I don't know I could give up my puppy :)
Try the following websites and see what they say:
http://www.cci.org
Canine Companions for Independence
http://www.keystonehumanservices.org
Keystone Human Services
http://www.canineassistants.org
Canine Assistans
http://www.neads.org
Dogs for Deaf and Disabled Americans
Try them; if they can't help you, they should be able to direct to an organization that can.
Best of luck to you and your puppy!
