You really don't have to do it much but never wash them more then tiwce a week it's bad for their skin they need the natural oils, mine don't get too smeelly so I only wash my boys once every three months or so, of coruse they spend a lot of time in my pound swimming

It depends on how long they take to get smelly. I wash my dog every 10 days with dog shampoo and I spray the conditioner (from Petsmart) rght after she dries off.

You should buy shampoo that fits your dogs needs, but I give my dogs (one with dry skin and one with normal) a bath once a month and I put their flee medicine on them right after their bath. That's how I know it bath time =D

I do mine when they get smelly, which is usually more so in the winter. My dogs like to cover up in a blanket, which I'm sure helps them get stinky. In summer they swim and are outside where they love to be. If their skin gets dry in the winter I use Keri bath oil mixed in water and use that as a final rinse. Or you can spray some on between baths. Also some vets carry sprays for that purpose. One I know of is Humilac.
