How often do you travel with your pet?

After spending a couple days apart from my "fur babies" I wondered, how often do other people take their pets along on trips? I used to bring mine everywhere but now that there's 3 it's a lot of work, and stuff, for just a couple nights!

We travel with are dogs everywhere. We go down to the ozarks alot to see my husbands grandma. It's about a 6 hour trip. Both of our labs love it. Rocky goes nutts when we say grandma's house! It's much less work for us to take them than it is to find someone to watch them.

When I lived closer to my parents (about 1-1 1/2 hrs) my cat would go with me just about everytime. Now that I'm 5 1/2 hrs away he doesn't get to go with me on just the weekend visits. He did come home with me for Christmas because I was going to be gone 5 days. I did have to give him meds for the trip so he could relax- If I didn't have the meds for that long of a trip I'd leave him home.

Bring my Husky with me everywhere. I adopted him in March and have yet to spend a day away from him. I can't do that with my turtle or cat...turtle needs large aquarium, cat would be petrified to leave his comfort zone.
I wish there were more pet friendly places to travel to, though.
