I always fed my fish in the morning and evening, but just a tiny tiny bit, no more than they can eat in 5 minutes. You gotta figure, they snack on things all day in the wild, so that sort of feeding schedule always seemed fair and good to me, it worked very well!

Only a little bit a day. A pinch is really about right. Overfeeding is not good for them.

I like to feed them a small pinch at night, and a small pinch at night. I have also heard of people feeding them every other day. IDK. I have asked at pet stores and get different answers. But it has worked best for me to feed them twice but small amounts.

People tend to over feed goldfish, which leads to tank issues and health problems for their goldfish.
Over the years,I have come to the conclusion that feeding my Goldfish smaller portions twice a day,not only keeps their tank a bit cleaner, but it also reduces the chances of Goldfish floatiness or swim bladder problems, which fancy goldfish are notorious for getting.

Logan - It depends on what you want to do. My son feeds his in the morning and at night. You can feed them once a day and they'll be fine. Goldfish will eat all day if they can so you have to decide. Just be careful not to overfeed or the tank will get dirty which can harm the fish. Good luck! Karen
