I agree A vets the sure way. A dog can have a false pregancy. They exibit all the signs that they are when they're not.

the only confirmation is a veterinary examination..
she may show some signs - weight gain in the abdomen, swelling mammary glands- but the only confirmation is a vet check
Its a good idea to do that when you have a tiny breed dog anyway because they are prone to dystocia (difficult births) and its always wise to know ahead of time how many puppies are present to make sure you account for them all when she does go into labor.
