I have 3 triplet...chinese dwarf hamsters and they love sleeping in their ball..The problem is when I want to play with them or get them out they won't come out and I can't reach in the ball and get them! I can't reach them because the ball opening is to small for my hands to fit and U definitly can't shake them out. What should I do?

You could try luring them out with food or a treat, or replace their ball with a plastic house that has a removable top. However, they seem to like the ball since it is comfortable and cozy and they may not like the plastic house as much.

Hamsters are largely nocturnal and prefer to sleep during the day--the same time you would like to play with them. Maybe you could switch your play time to later in the evening (before your bedtime) when they will want to become more active. Or, you could keep them in a lighted area during the night and bring them into a dimly lit room during the day--they will think daytime is nighttime and vice versa. But you would have to do this ALL the time. (If you decide to go for the day/night switch, do it gradually to give them time to adjust.)
