I read in a book about using natural solutions to dog problems that any shampoo will work. I use a mild one so ther skin won't get dry. The trick is to keep the shampoo on the dog for 10 minutes. Make sure the water and room are warm so the dog doesn't get cold. I found it to work. Use a flea comb after the bath.

Dawn dishwashing liquid is the best thing to use. Put the dish soap on the neck and work your way down. You can put a little on the head but you have to be careful around their eyes. I usually put it all over the body and if fleas run to the head I pick them off and place them in alcohol or flush down the toilet as already suggested

I have consulted a vet for this very problem. The solution is take alcohol and cotton balls. Go through the puppies fur and apply alcohol on each flea then put fleas in pot of hot water while administering alcohol then flush water with fleas down toilet

I have found that any soap or shampoo kills fleas.Start at the head and work your way down.Rinse thoroughly and make sure you dry him really well and keep him warm afterwards so he doesn't get chilled. Good luck! Also, the bedding will have to be washed in hot soapy water.

Bathe in dawn soap and then comb him out. Don't over bathe him as it may dry out his skin, but just keep coming through him.

Blue Dawn dish soap works great and is better for the dogs and cats then the flea soap

Buy a flea comb, and a bottle of blue Dawn dishing soap. Wash the puppies with warm water and dawn, use the flea comb to get them and make sure you start with the head and move down to the rest of the body of they will go into the ears. when the puppies are clean vacume. you'll want to check the puppies a couple of times a day and pick off remaining fleas, and vaccum frequently to keep and that got away from getting back on the puppies and change their bedding frequently. washing it immediately.

After the bath in puppy shampoo or Dawn, dry them with a white towel and keep a jar of Vasoline handy. Put a dab on your finger and pick up any remaining live fleas. They'll stick to the Vasoline and you can then dump them in a jar of soapy water.
