Are you very young, tracie c.? If we lived in an ideal world, there would be no abuse or cruelty of any kind; there would be respect for all life. Unfortunately, we don't live in that world. However, you can do your part to make the world better. For instance, we don't kill insects at our house. It's actually pretty easy to capture a bee using a glass and a piece of paper (put the glass over the bee and then slide the paper underneath), then you just free the bee outside. We shoo the moths and flies back outside. I am the Designated Spider Catcher in my house--lots of people find spiders creepy, but actually spiders are very beneficial to our environment. Now most people think we are "way out there," but we try to live what we believe, and that is to respect all life. You can be an example to your friends by showing them how well you care for your pets and other animals. I didn't always save bees and spiders, but I saw a stranger in a cafe use the glass and paper technique to save a bee and it made me think. After all, it starts with ONE person.
