Sorry me again, don't forget frontline for fleas & ticks if you are where the seasons change and your dogs are not outside dogs 1 tube per dog will get yoy thru the summer unless your in a high tick area, it does not expire and the time I had one dog I used it for 3 years, its great that over the counter stuff is worthless and has cause fatalities in dogs & cats, waterproof too, no bath thee days before or after & they can go swimming, even the Lab only gets 1 treatment, kills eggs, larve too.

My dogs have never had worms except the Lab, they are all adopted, must say my Greys are really checked out before they are adopted out, so are the people adopting them, my last rescue was from the SPCA that was 2 years ago must say I was very disappointed in the condition of the one I went to, I found death row and didn't even know what I was bringing, she was in terrible shape, all my dogs , even from the NGAP go to my Vet for a top to toe check, Annie had everything, mange, allergies, infected ears & WORMS I keep my dog on interceptor all year, it's expensive yes but cheaper than treating them for worms & parasites, the Interceptor doesn't just take care of heartworms it takes care od allot of other things they pick up the grey aren't a big problem their a bit like prima donnas(love them to death) but Annie the Lab is a different if she gets anything in her mouth before I stick my arm down her throat it's gone, well we got rid of her worms put her on interceptor after the heartworm test and none of my dogs get worms, and they are easy to get even walking them it they sniff the wrong place they get worms

Fairly common and fairly easy to treat. This can easily be prevented however with a monthly dewormer. There are many options available for both dogs AND cats, and I always advise to talk with your vet about what is right for your pets along with doing online research. Good luck!

It's also common in outside cats who hunt.

Very common if your pet has fleas. Tapeworms come mostly from when a pet chews and shallows a flea. You can now get over the counter stuff called Tradewinds. We used it at the shelter for a long time until we got Drontal donated to us.
