We were at a cabin once with the dogs. Differ and Alarm did not potty for over 15 hours. I was really worried. Alarm did at the 15th hour and Differ at 18th hour. They were just too scared to potty. But once they figured out it was okay by watching the other two dogs, they were fine. But it did take awhile.

I had a Labrador Retriever that would only go to the bathroom in our backyard. We would go to the park - nothing. Come home and he would jump from the car, run to the front door, run through the house to the back door, and run outside to the backyard to relieve himself. The only time he went elsewhere was when he was very sick and was at the vet's office for a week. Then he had to. Don't know if there is anything that you can do, except accept it.

My friend had a dog like that. I dog sat for a day at my house and the dog would not go in my yard even though she could smell where my dogs did. It was like 14 hours. When we went camping together she finally went after 15 hours. No choice I guess. It's got to come out sometime. That's one reason I train my dogs to go whenever I say the words "GO potty". Now they go when I say so. It's great for rainy days when they don't want to go out.
