Eating

i really don't know why this happens but on the dr foster and smith website they sell stuff that you can give to your dog and it makes their poop uninteresting to them and should make them stop eating it, so I would try that.

maybe try giving him a multivitamin to see if that makes him stop eating it- usually its a vitamin deficiency of some sort. If not, they do have over the counter things you can give that make it[the poop] taste awful. good luck!

There are a number of reasons why dogs might want to eat dog feces. The most common are that they might be hungry or lacking in some key nutrients and minerals. However, they also just might be curious or like the taste. I know that seems really disgusting but it happens. You might try keeping your dog on a leash when you go out for walks and avoid any dog feces left around.

if dog poop is anything like cat poop it may be because there is undigested food that seems appealing (i dont know why it would lol) but i do know that dogs eat cat poop sometimes because of the undigested food in it so it might be something similar with the dog poop your dog seems to be eating...

I think some dogs are truly just curious and attracted to the odor. I have never heard of a logical explanation for it either.
