I was at the dog park and a guy knelt down and let my dog lick all over his face and mouth and he didn't even try to close his own mouth it was GROSS - in my opinion. Is this guy crazy, or do some people actually enjoy mouth-to-mouth with their pooch? Do you ever put something in your mouth that your dog licked - such as a spoon or ice cream cone?

I absolutely hate it and my older dogs generally will not lick people's faces because I've taught them not to!

wow, that is out there! I read on zootoo that you are able to contract ecoli if your dog licks your face/mouth and has just licked their a@@ ? Who knows? I just think its kind of gross, but then I am a dental hygientist-bacteria phobe!

I certainly do mind if a dog licks my face. I know where their tongue has been!

My husband is one of those people that lets his dogs kiss him on the mouth. I think it's disgusting. His defense is, "What? My mouth was closed!". No, I do not kiss him afterwards. But apparently I can gross him out too. Sometimes I'll give my cat yogurt and I'll put the spoon back in my mouth.

I think letting a dog lick your face is...ok, but...to let a dog lick you in your mouth or share your food, silverware, etc. is just Disqusting! A dog does not have a clean mouth.

I let most dogs lick my face (minus the hardcore droolers), though I try to avoid right on the mouth. I've heard that a dog's mouth is cleaner than the average human's fingernails, so it may not be the freak out situation people treat it as (or we all just really need to clean our nails more...)

I kiss my dog and my dog kisses me but we do have some respectful limits. Her tongue on my mouth is off limits. I don't at all mind when she is saying hello or goodmorning and I get t thourough neck and head snuffle with kisses.
As for eating something she has licked? Nope. I don't do that with my husband or kids as a rule either.
