Do guinea pigs get lonely? Should I get another one?What is a good guinea pig rescue near Worc. MA?

I wanted to adopt two guinea pigs because I had heard that they like to be around others. The ones I found were singles so I had to introduce them. I kept them in separate cages for a few days and let them get to know each other. It didn't take long to see they'd get along great. They had both been surrendered with other pigs that had been adopted already so they were used to being with others. It doesn't matter what kind they are. Same sex is a must! I got mine from the humane society (in MN). They had a ton of them there.

Guinea pigs do well in couples, as long as you get the same sex, you don't want to start a guinea pig rescue yourself, if you know what I mean!
