I agree that the paper cup should pass fine, just keep an eye for any distress, vomiting or diarrhea. My Zoey loves those frosty paws peanut butter flavor, they tend to give the poops though.

My dog is a little Heeler and she tried to eat the thing all at once and got it stuck in her throat so she couldnt breathe. I had a really tuff time getting it out as it was all slimy and gooey but I had to as she couldnt get it to go either way. I assume if the dog got it down it should be fine but I won't give them to my dog again.

I agree to watch for vomiting, straining, or unusual stressed behavior. My dobe once passed a cornstalk looking thing he had eaten that was HUGE. I live in a wooded area and I didn't even see him eat it. Must have done it while loose in the back yard. He had no evidence of trauma. The very solid object was at least an inch in diamter and several inches long, so I imagine a paper cup could be passed ok. I would have loved to see the look on the faces of those who saw your pup eat that cup and contents.

I'm glad your calling ASPCA, I'm pretty sure the paper will pass but there is a possibility it will get lodged somewhere that could cause a blockage, if you see straining, if there is no appetite or if he/she vomits bring to Vet ASAP, how big is your dog??

If its a paper cup, it SHOULD pass pretty easily. Your dog should be fine, just keep an eye on him/her and make sure that the dog "goes". If anything seems weird, you can always call an emergency vets office if you don't want to wait til morning for a vet's opinion. If things seem fine tonight, I'd still call your regular vet in the morning just for an opinion. But it doesn't seem like much to worry about. Dogs are constantly eating things they shouldn't!
