Does anyone have a recommendation for dog obedience classes?

Contact your local SPCA, pet stores and vet offices and see if they have phone numbers for trainers. Check your local library for free cds and books. Knowledge is power. Also The Dog Whisperer show and website can help you get a better understanding of your dogs behavior. I have worked with dogs for 30 years and I'm still learning. Everyone has different methods and ideas. You have to find the ones that work for you. Most times a dogs behavior is due to the wrong things an owner is doing, they just don't realize it. It's happened to me. Once I figured out what I did wrong, it made a world of difference. The biggest thing is being a good leader. As the Dog Whisperer says exercise, discipline THEN affection. Like most people I gave affection at the wrong times.Hope you find what you need.
