does anyone else have strange nicknames for their pets?

Haha I think everyone does :P I have a ton of random nick names - one of my favorites though is we call our Boston Terrier "Little Black" and our Golden "Big Red" after an old children's book which was about a little black pony and a big red horse.

Please don't feel stupid. I think most pet owners call their pets by cute nicknames from time to time. When I go out, I always say "Bye kids-guard the house".
