Controlling shedding

The furminator is the best, but we also use fish oil pills.

One word FURMINATOR! Works awesome on our 4 cats. I couldn't believe all the fur we got off our cats. I thought the brushes we have were doing a good job. NOT! The Furminator got fur off the cats we didn't even know they had. It's well worth the $$. We bought ours @ our local Petsmart. We bought the blue one. I can't remember for sure but I think it's the small or medium. They have different sizes for sale. Petsmart had a video playing on the Furminator that we watched. Also they had one you could try on your dog while you were in the store. We will never go back to conventional brushes. The Furminator rules. Doesn't need pressure or repeted use either. I think the cats fur is healthier now & we definately have less hair ball suprises too!

A furminator would work, however, it also sucks the normal oils off of the skin as well. Being a neat freak is not bad, but choosing a cat as a pet was a wrong choice. Maybe my perspective on pets is wrong, but if a person has pets, other than some thing one would keep in an aquarium, or hamster house, but shedding is a part of the ownership deal one takes on when getting a pet. I run the sweeper two times a day, and have a couple of signs stating,"No outfit is complete without pethair". I also keep a couple of "Clothes de-hairers" by the door, for folks to de-hair themselves. I, too keep a clean, tidy house, but hair is to be expected. Relax, life is tooooo short to worry about a few extra hairs that are displaced. Another thing that you can do during the heavy shedding time, is clip your kitty down. I do this twice a year and the cat's love it!

I won a furminator and I LOVE it!! It works fabulously. I first tried it on one of my short haired kitties and Oh My Gosh, the fur that came out. It is amazing. It gets all the loose hair out and helps control the hair around the house.

I would try the furminator. They work really well.

Isn't shedding a natural thing? Not sure if it is healthy to have a de-shedder..

get the furminator! we have it for our dogs and it works like a champ! they make a smaller one for cats too! they are a little costly, but it is well worth it! trust me!
