Is it true that wet cat food can cause their teeth to stain? My cat likes wet food and dry food but I want to give her what is best for her!

Wet food will make their teeth decay quicker because it stay on their teeth longer. Dry food does not. I feed a little of both. I small spoon full of wet then they get their dry food.

My vet recently told me that wet food is actually much better for cats. Many studies have been done, but wet food mimicks a more natural diet, closer to what they would be eating in the wild. I still give my cats a little dry too. I always thought dry was the best for them and their teeth/ but both vets i have been to lately have told me the opposite.

Wet food not only stains, but it also can cause cat's teeth to decay faster, because it gets stuck between them and sticks on. I would reccomend either all dry food or a mixture of dry and really high quality wet food.

Dry food helps the teeth. It cleans them and helps keep away cavities it kind of acts like a tooth brush.

Wet food can cause their teeth to stain. I suggest mostly dry food, with a dollop of wet cat food. Or just dry food altogether.
