Does anybody that has a boxer know of any chew or tug toys that are really tough. I've tried Tuffies, TireBiters and Kongs and he's chewed through them like they were paper. Yikes!

Harvey's 4 now and I still have some issues with toys. when we first got him I got a rather thick nylon rope and guess what. He's out in his cage trying to still chew it to death. ^~^

We have an 8 month old boxer that also LOVES to chew! We have been lucky enough that she stays away from the furniture, but I think the fact that we have a lot out for her really helps. She really likes the tough "tennis balls". They look just like a regular tennis ball but are much harder (we found them at PetSmart). She also loves the thick rope toys. But of all the things we have bought, her favorite thing is plastic bottles. She will play with them all day long. And the thinker ones (like Ocean Spray bottles) work they best cause she can't chew through them. They are by far her favorite thing to play with and chew on (and they are cheap and easy to come by). Good luck!! We just loooove our very busy Boxer!!

When our Boxer was younger we had similar problems. There just didn't seem to be any "toys" that could withstand her teeth! If yours is still young and teething just make sure you provide bones, rawhides, etc that are safe and keep the toys out only when you supervising play time. Ours really liked the pig ears and big bones and would chew on them for a good while. When she was over the teething she loved tennis balls, frisbies, etc. Have you tried the big rope knots? Mine like those too. Good luck and enjoy,my experience has been that boxers are very loving and loyal animals!!

Well I dont have a Boxer, I have a pit bull and he does the same thing. Your dog looks older than mine (Memphis is only 4 months) so I'm not sure if its the same thing. He might still be teething. You might want to try the big bones, that will help him with chewing and still give him toys. Try the biggest bone you can find. Thats what I had to do with Memphis.
