I would like to know if any of you are familiar with "curly bullie sticks?" I purchased one of these at Woofer's Pet Store and my little Yorkie puppy will sit for hours chewing on it. She loved it so much that I got on the internet to order her a box of them and read some customer's pro's and con's on this treat and now I don't if I should purchase anymore due to some of the reviews I read.

Bully sticks are safe for a dog, but they should never be left unattended while they have them. Another thing to consider is where the bully sticks come from. Some companies may process them more than others and use chemicals on them. The best is to find some that come from free-range animals. Red Barn, to my knowledge, does not use any chemicals on theirs. I would encourage the owner to call the company and see how they process the sticks and if they use any chemicals on them at all.

Another controversy, but bully sticks are 100% digestible. They are made from the flesh of an animal. The only problem that you could forsee on this would be if your dog would gag on it, or accidentally choke on it.

But,if you supervise your animal and remove it when its small enough to be a choking hazard, you should be fine.
