It depends on the location and severity of yeast infection. I worked with a veterinary dermatologist for a few years and he often used an oral drug called Ketaconizole (there are shampoos too) for the tough cases. Yeasty dogs have a bad odor about them so you would know if this is the case. It is not cheap and the dog may need bloodwork to see if he is in good health. My recommendation is to see a specialist or if you cannot and the dog is "smelly" from the yeast talk to your vet about Ketaconizole to see if that would be helpful in this case.
