My dog has terrible breath - but very clean teeth as we brush them. Is there something we can do at home without spending a fortune at the pet store?

our 15 yr old pom had very bad breath and we took her to the vet and he gave her clindrops. was not costly at all. not sure if this will help your dog or not but it took care of bear's bad breath.

I use carrots. I'm lucky and my doggie has very nice breath. I'd talk to the vet about though it as sometimes bad breath is an indication of an underlying health problem! Take it seriously!

I find that big bones to chew on helps keep the teeth clean and therefore helps with the breath.

At most pet store you can find pet treats that actually serve as breath mints as well. Those shouldn't break the bank. Just substitute the teeth cleaners for their normal goodies.

Try some plain yogurt and see if that helps. Also, any cloth toys need to be washed on a regular basis, even plastic/rubber ones too

I'm not too sure how well it will work for you, but we have fed our puppies pineapple in the past and that has seemed to help
