Tucker has always been on Royal Canine kibble and having soft but firm poops. For past 3 wks, he started pooping during the night on the kitchen floor and pooping more often (slimy/soft poop). We initially thought we gave him too many treats (dry) and messed up his stomach/diet--so we stopped all treats and he is still having slimy/soft/nasty poop! He even pooped in his crate! We had him on a nice schedule (morning, afternoon, evening successful outings) Not sure what to do... Please help

I would definately take his to the vet. Slimy poop is not only gross to clean up, but it could mean that they are sick. This happened to my dog but I took her ot the vet within two days and he gave her medication that helped, so that is what I suggest.

I agree with Jill. Make sure you take him in and have him checked out. Also, ask your vet what h thinks of Tucker's diet; he may have some improvment ideas.

Loose stool lasting that long could be the sign of a serious illness, so its best to bring in your dog (with a sample of the loose stool) to your vet for an examination.

So many things to rule out.... parasites, allergy, etc...
