Honestly I raised rabbits both just as pets and as a hobby breeder my entire childhood. And though rabbits shed, NONE of my rabbits had a serious shedding issue. The ONLY rabbit I ever had that was "molting' (sheding badly) was from a breeder who had less than standard cleaning and care practices (and only was shedding bad for the first two months after me getting him). Feed your rabbits good grain (I used Blue Seal), lots of HAY (NOT alfafa), fresh grass and weeds. Handle your rabbit daily (IE pet them) Give them fresh water daily. and your rabbit should be fine. If your rabbit is shedding alot and scratching, it may also have mites go get some poultry dust and follow the instructions, clean EVERYTHING with dust, then bleach.
Good Luck

bunnies do not need haircuts, but animals will shed even though they're brushed daily. by brushing them regularly you're removing much of the old hair, but you'll never get all of it. how long are you brushing her? usually 10 minutes is a good amount of time. the trick is to keep brushing her until you're not getting much out. for a short haired rabbit, you should brush her until you can go over her entire body several times w/the brush and not have a pad of fur to pull off.
