Q: Would you clone your pet?

I don't think I would clone my dogs even though I love them so much. I still would know they would not the same dogs. I have read where some people have done this. So would you clone your pets if money were no object?

I would not clone my pet. It would be too creepy! I love my pets to death, but I do not believe in cloning. I do not think that the animal would be 100% the same anyway.

It's really hard to say. When I first lost my Foggy, I would have jumped at the chance. But now (it's been 4 years)I have second thoughts. He was the perfect cat. We had such a great bond. I guess I'm still on the fence about it.

Oh, I like this question since I really never thought about it. I have to say - no - simply because no clone could ever replace the real one.

I never thought of this before and now that you have me thinking i have to say no. I would not clone my pet no matter how much i missed him. It's just not right to clone anything. I would grieve and then one day when I was ready i'd get another pet.

I have a wonderful cat who loves my children (8 months and 4 years). She also loves everyone who comes to visit and greets them. She is the best cat we have ever had and I would love to have her forever. However, with so many pets needing homes waiting in shelters, I would adopt another cat before I would clone one - even one as wonderful as my Tripod.

No, they may look exactly like my dogs, but they wouldn't be what I love about my dogs, and there are allot of dogs out there waiting for someone to love them for what they are.

Personally, I would not.
I feel that although the pet would look identical to the original pet, it would not have the same personality.

Definitely don't think that's right. They wouldn't be the same dog. They would look the same, but the environment in which the old dog grew up in would be different than the new one. I don't think it's worth it.

No, I wouldn't. While I love my dog and would be devastated there are always others needing homes and I would have to rescue one. That and I wouldn't have the funds necessary to even begin to think about that.
