Q: Would you clone your pet?

I don't think I would clone my dogs even though I love them so much. I still would know they would not the same dogs. I have read where some people have done this. So would you clone your pets if money were no object?

No. The clone would only look the same but it would have a different personality. It would not be the same animal and I wouldn't want another reminder that the original was gone. That wouldn't be fair to the clone. I would just get a new animal.

I wouldn't do it even if I had the money to do so. How can you absolutely guarantee that it will be the same. You can't so there isn't a point.

No--the personality is what counts. And there are plenty of personable cats waiting in shelters

There was a couple from Florida on t.v. this morning that had that done......the cost was $150,000.00. My answer is NO.

Couldn't do it. It's not the same pet emotionally and behaviorally.

No, I wouldn't. As much as I love my pets it wouldn't be the same and it wouldn't be fair. The clone couldn't help but suffer by comparison because even though they share the same DNA it wouldn't be the same animal. I have identical twin sisters and they are certainly not identical in personality or anything else. I think expecting a cloned animal to duplicate a beloved pet is just setting the new animal up for failure.

No, because you can only get the body of that pet not the heart and soul. Everyone and everything is special in it's own way. That can't be copied.

No, I love my pets but that to me is the point - I love them all and just like people we are all different. Great question!
