Why would My Yellow Lab have a Pink Nose?

I Have a purebred, Male, Yellow Labrador and I have heard that If he has a pink nose or a nose laking any pigment he would be disqualified. And All yellow labs I have seen have black noses. I know for a fact that he is Purebred. I own his mother. But I am just dont know why his nose would be pink, or if it could affect his future of breeding.

My lab is 15 1/2 years old. He was one of eight puppies in his litter. Max was the only one with a pink nose that is one of the reasons I picked him. Over the years we have seen lots of labs with pink noses.

I'm a vet tech at my clinic we see many labs with pick nose, most times puppies grow out of the pink nose but some don't. like the other said it not a big heath problem you just need to watch out for sun burn, to much sun can cause cancer

I've seen purebred labs with pink noses before. My friend has a one year old purebred and it's parents had black noses but it's great granparents had pink noses. I guess it skips some generation like humens. Your lab is soo cute!
