Q: why is my dog scared of the dark?

Toby is so scared of the dark.. he will not walk into a room if the light is off.. i have never seen such.. what is wrong with him? he is such a baby....

He's not a baby. He is scared for a reason. Don't force him. Something has scared him. Turn the light on go in with him saty with him have some turn the light off hold him and gentle talk to him. Don't force him though. Keep trying it every night ans see how he does. If it doesn't work. So what its not his room.

Some dogs are like that. It is usually because of something that happened in the past.

get his eyes checked by a vet, it can be something wrong with the eye's. dog's are known for there good "nightvision" but sometimes there is something wrong and there eyes can not adjust. kind of like you having a blind fold on.
