Q: why does my dog bark at my scooter?

every day when i ride my scooter my dog max goes out with me and each time he always barks at my scooter. why is that?

he probably thinks it is going to hurt you so he just trying to be protective

try to desensitize him to your scooter by riding it slowly and having someone give him treats.

I think dogs are scared of those things, they see them as a threat. My dog barks at the scooters the kids have.

I would say that Max either thinks it's playtime and is just getting in a playful mood or like dakotamacybocis said, it's a protective nature. Our Sheltie used to bark each time our son jumped in the pool and my inside cat, Mia would "yell" at me whenever I went outside as if to warn me of the perils of the outdoors.

When you ride your scooter there may be 2 reasons for this. 1: he might feel threatened by this thing with 2 wheels and he doesn't know what it is... also, he may be trying to protect you by telling you to get off of it because he thinks it is dangerous becuse he doesn't know what it is!
