Does anyone have a cat that just loves to talk, talk, talk?

Pops is new addition to the family and he won't shut up. He can be any place in the house and talk (to himself). It's like he doesn't know what he wants but he doesn't want anything.

Millie has become quite vocal in her latter years. I think I should be glad I can't understand what she is saying!

Yessss, the answer is a big YES, I have a talkative cat!!!! I'm convinced my cat is out to win this imaginery meowing meowathon contest ;-) I have found that my cat meows for different reasons; sometimes because there is nothing to meow about but mostly because she wants attention, is bored, spots the birds from the window etc. She used to meow through the night too but I found that if I play with her for a minimum of 3 times daily, then she will settle through the night. Do you play with your cat? Some play time might help cut down some of the meowing :) Also I try to rotate her toys, so that she has some new stimulation to keep her boredom levels as low as possible.

He is most likely just a talker! This is very rare and probably not the case, but is he a little hard of hearing or deaf? My aunt's cat is deaf and talks all day long because he can't hear himself making any noise. This is more common with white, blue eyed cats for some genetic reason.

If your cat is healthy and happy while he's meowing, I wouldn't worry!
