And it isn't just clean socks that they like to drag around -- both cats and dogs! I can't leave a pair of socks out after I have taken them off -- they disappear -- and I usually find them behind the couch (and not chewed up) At first he would tease me by running past with the socks in his mouth, and of course I would take them away. Now he simply sneaks them behind the couch when I am not looking. Cats usually just like to curl up with them in a nice clean, warm laundry basket.....
She gets your attention, doesn't she? Have fun with it.

I have a cat and dog that both do this. For the cat I think it's hunting behavior - she loves to meow really loud like she saying "I got it mom, I got it!". For the dog they just love stinky things!
