Keeping our cat in the cat carrier with a blanket over it so that he can't see the motion outside the windows helps.

My veterinarian suggested an over-the-counter drug called Bonine for my dog who got car sick. Howver, you definitely need to talk to your vet before giving your cat any medication, since their metabolisms are so different from humans or dogs.

If you take your cat out the atmosphere there used to and put them into another one they can get sick caz they aren't used to the difference so try to bring some pieces of the house with you and the cat should be fine

I suggest trying "Rescue Remedy", made of natural ingredients, which calms an animal rather than drugging it. You can find it in a health or natural foods store.

Cats get car sick just like people, try making sure that you do not feed her for a few hours before the trip, you can also try felaway...it is suppose to destress cats.

A vet assistant suggested a tiny bit of benadryl before traveling for my papillon who gets car sick, but check with a vet before giving this to a cat. With holding food is a good idea.

Withholding food before the trip is a good idea. I like to use an anti-anxiety med for my cat. Depending on your feelings about meds you can get something from the vet for this or I've gotten oral homeopathic drops that worked well for my cat. You can get the homeopathic drops either at a vets office (some might carry them) or a pet store. I'd say it's worth a try. In my experience cats hate to travel but sometimes we have to take them.

If you don't want to use any kind of meds what you can do is
don't feed kitty anything to eat before you leave lets say stop all food about an hour or two before the road trip. Water is ok but not too much as not to upset kitty's stomach. Kitty should be ok during the trip. Just have a bowl of food when you arrive at your destination.
Good Luck

Some animals including cats get motion sickness in the car. You can check with your vet for medication you can give her before going in the car.
