Why does my cat eat flour?

My Princessa loves raw flour...wheat or white. It doesn't matter.Every time I bake, there she is licking up the spills.Could she be lacking something in her diet? They all get Iams dry food and one small can of Friskies canned food (that's for all 12 cats! Just a taste!)She is the only one that eats flour.

I've heard that carbohydrates aren't good for cats, who are natually carnivores, but I have not specifically heard anything about white flour. I would agree - check with your vet. (Is flour enriched with niacin i.e. vitamin B? I wonder if this has anything to do it with.)

I'm not sure if that is healthy or not. I would just call your local vet and make sure it won't make her sick.

All of the cats that I have shared my life with have had weird things that they liked to eat. If it isn't toxic and they don't eat too much of it they will be fine. Just don't let them lick the bowl

Well maybe you should use whole wheat if she is going to eat flour!

I don't know, maybe they're craving fiber?
