Why do the kittens all flock to the litter box as we are cleaning it ?

We have fostered 10 kittens and every time we start cleaning the litter box all of them have climbed into the litter box as we are cleaning it.

they just want to bug the h e double hockey stick out of you? They don't really need any other reason.

I have often wondered the same thing! I started to wonder if the noise of litter being scooped is equivalent to us hearing running water and having to RUN to the bathroom to empty our bladder.

I have multiple cats, but one of them ALWAYS does this! I guess she just likes a nice clean place to do her business, but I'm not sure what the deal is with your kittens. Maybe they too want to be the first to go in a nice fresh and clean box!
