I love this answers thing!!! It helps me get other perspectives on things and it's super helpful!!

I have two chubby little munchkins and I bought them some treats for their birthday and they both turned their noses up at the treats when I offered them...

Why do they not like treats??

Are there certain brands that cats tend not to like? What do your cats like??

Thanks!! :)
You all have been fabulous!<3

not all cats like treats. my boyfriends cat won't even cave to catnip. greenies and temptations are the most alluring that i've found.

My ragdoll kitties, Akemi and Lily are very picky too.
They love Natural Purrz.

Wellness Pure Delights™ All-Natural Delicious Jerky Treats for Cats are my cats current favorite. Eddie doesn't like them, but he doesn't need treats any way. None of mine liked the taste Temptations at all. Even Vindaloo who will eat anything turned his nose up at them!! Good Luck finding a treat your babies will enjoy!

I think a lot of the "treats" aren't very tasty to cats that are used to quality food. That is, quality food may be better than "treats", but "treats" are probably tastier than economy/generic food. It would have been helpful if you would have mentioned what kind of catfood your cats eat. If it is at least of average or above average quality, that may explain their nonattraction to the treats.

My cats, who eat Fancy Feast (dry and canned) do like "The Goodlife Recipe" (chicken) cat treats. If you don't feed your cat the dry Fancy Feast, you might want to try buying a small bag and using it as a "treat".

My cats really aren't into treats either. They both love steak though, so whenever I make it, I save a little for them. They will actually climb up my legs to get to it. Try to find something they do like and reward them with that. Just remember that moderation is the key, you don't want them to get fat!

I have four cats and they all have different 'tastes' when it comes to food.
You would think most cats would go crazy over canned food. My cat Nikki would always rather eat dry food. I think it's probably better for him. Jack would eat only canned food if I let him. Oscar likes canned and dry food but not treats. Buddy and Nikki both LOVE treats. Nikki's fav. is Whisker Lickins Tarter Control crab flavor and then salmon and then tuna. I think he would rather eat that than anything.
Buddy loves Taste Temptations that have those soft insides with the crunchy outside. Gee, my cats aren't spoiled are they?
I don't think it really matters what they eat as long as they are healthy. My vet did say though that the purely soft treats are like 'cat candy'. He said it's bad for their teeth and can lead to obesity.
And none of mine are really skinny either!
