Good idea but the shelters would end up getting not too much. Unfortunately less that 3 per cent of ALL charitable giving actually goes toward an animal charity. Sad , but true.

If all shelters pooled their money would there be enough ?
I doubt it. But I do know of shelters helping other shelters by networking and I think more of this could be done.

Your heart's in the right place. I wish we could give to all shelters, but splitting the money across all might not be significant per shelter/org. Maybe Zootoo can sponsor a charity on a monthly/quarterly basis and raise money that way. What do you think?

I am trying to get a first aid class that I would donat the proceds to the shelter minus costs. I use the donation as a tax writeoff after the donation.

i like your idea but i think that would be problimatic that to spread it out would probably not do each much good someone said they tried to count how many shelters are reprsented and stopped at 2000

I think this friendly online "competition" is what gets so many people motivated to participate in fundraising efforts in the first place. But I do wish every shelter could win a little something helpful.

you can certainly fund raise on your own and donate the money to your fav charity/shelter.
