If this happens after you bathe your dog its possible that she is allergic to something in the shampoo. Some dogs have really sensitive skin under all that fur and even though a shampoo is "herbal" or organic they can still have a sensitivity to it. I suggest not using the shampoo every time you bathe. Over use of any shampoo dries your doggies skin. In between shampoos a nice rinse in warm water is fine. Also it may be dry winter skin. You can try mixing some olive oil into her food. This will help her coat and calm the skin as well.

Does it only happen during winter? dry skin/dandruff is pretty common during cold days because the air is so dry, plus most people run the heater in the house which dries out the skin further.
Make sure your dog is on a healthy meat based food(more meat= more healthy fats)
If she already is, give her some fish oil ( you can try capsules, if she spits it out, you can try liquid salmon oil)

Dont overbathe your dog, especially during winter, it will only strip off the natural skin oils which will make the matter worse, if you absolutely must bathe, use a moisturizing shampoo lie Nuhemp omega therapy shampoo.

tea tree shampoo is great for this. tea tree oils naturally combat overactive yeast, which is what dandruff is. b/c yeast production is created from the inside out, you should start giving your dog canine probiotics {i use dogzymes digestive health}. this will encourage the good bacteria to force back the amount of yeast and restore their ph balance.
do an online search for "dogzymes". it works great, has a shelf life of 3 years, only takes a little a day even for big dogs, and is inexpensive.

There are speicatly shampoos but they are expensive. angle gets andruff some times, i just try and keep her combed. Also dogs with Dandruff can be helped buy the food they eat. you can put and egg in the dry food, but i would recamend buying food that helps thier coat.

Once a month with shampoo is usually fine. if they need to be cleaned off between make it just a rinse of water.. you can use Selsum Blue for skin irritation from simple itching to mange.. it relieves them.
