Q: who do i to stop my dog from getting dandruff

Once a month with shampoo is usually fine. if they need to be cleaned off between make it just a rinse of water.. you can use Selsum Blue for skin irritation from simple itching to mange.. it relieves them.

There are speicatly shampoos but they are expensive. angle gets andruff some times, i just try and keep her combed. Also dogs with Dandruff can be helped buy the food they eat. you can put and egg in the dry food, but i would recamend buying food that helps thier coat.

tea tree shampoo is great for this. tea tree oils naturally combat overactive yeast, which is what dandruff is. b/c yeast production is created from the inside out, you should start giving your dog canine probiotics {i use dogzymes digestive health}. this will encourage the good bacteria to force back the amount of yeast and restore their ph balance.
do an online search for "dogzymes". it works great, has a shelf life of 3 years, only takes a little a day even for big dogs, and is inexpensive.
