My dog has a allergic reaction to flea bites. He is using Frontline right now. Is K9 Advantix better?

It is best to go "old school". Buy a flea powder (sergeants is really good) and spread over your clean dry dog. It will soothe the existing bites and kill any fleas.
Next dust the sleeping area and sofa (down in the folds and creases) and spread flea powdr on the carpet - leave for 20 minutes then vacuum completely.
You can use a flea/bug bomb to spray the entire house.
The best flea/fly/bug control I have ever used is a metered spray system that releases a spray every 30 minutes and protects the area 24-7
Here is where I get it from...you may find it elsewhere
hope it helps

both are excellent, but advantix seems to be gaining in popularity. i think advantix may be better for ticks, so if you don't have a problem w/them, you should be good to stick to frontline.

K9 Advantix also covers mosquitos and flea bites that Frontline doesn't. However, I still use Frontline because a lot of dogs have severe reactions to the Promethrin in Advantix. You can read the reviews for it on Amazon. There are many reviews where they had to rush the dog to the vet.
