Q: Where is the best place to get my cats shaved for summer?
plus keeping in mind the cost, we have 3 cats?

Why do you want to get them shaved? Are they long haired and matted? I would not shave them like the other person said they have fur for a reason and once you shave them usually their fur will not grow back normally. If you still need to have it done the last clinic i worked at would do "lion cuts" on cats. The cost was usually around $50 if we did not have to sedate them. For fractious cats sedation may cost you another $50-100 depending on the place you go to. I would HIGHLY recommend not bringing them to a groomer that 1) does not specialise in cats and 2) keeps cats and dogs in the same kennel area. Grooming can be very stressful and tramatic for kitties. and cats skin (especially older cats) cat be very prone to getting sliced by clippers in inexperienced hands. Check out where you take them closely before doing this....and again are you sure this is necessary?

not knowing your reasons for wanting to shave your cats, i won't advise you not to do it...we pay $35 to get our dog bathed and shaved...and he's a handful. i imagine a cat would freak out by the clippers. if it's just a grooming issue for you, i've seen a mounted self brush that cats rub against. you attach it to a doorway at their level and they brush themselves. and of course, they have those thinning combs "as seen on tv" that really get all the hair out. i'm sorry, i guess i haven't answered your question...good luck.
