I shop at Wal-mart, grocery stores, and Pet Stores such as Pet Smart or Petco
Where do you find the most reasonable priced pet food? Pet-Smart vs Petco? Wal-mart vs them all?

I don't feed any food that sold at stores like Wal-mart and K-mart. The reason they have cheap food is because it's very low quality. What people don't realize is if they buy a 40 lb bag of food for $10 but they have to feed 6 cups of it a day for the dog to get what it needs, it's the same thing as buying a 40 lb bag of food for $40 that they need to eat 2 cups a day - you go through the same amount of money in the same amount of time, but have that much more poop to scoop/pick up.

The more expensive food really is worth it, for their coats, digestive systems, the pocketbook, and for cleaning up after them.

Reasonably priced is not always good for the pet. Just make sure you read the label and understand what preservatives, additives and colorings are in the food. Many are preserved with pesticides.

The best deal I have found on dog food is at a local feed store. For example I get a 55lb. bag of Purina Dog Chow for about $25. Be careful as not all feed stores may carry your brand. Some also have toys and treats for dogs as well. They all carry different brands, and very good brands as well.
