January 20, 2009 | By Theteganator | 10 answers | Expired: 1568 days ago
I need to license my 2 cats and dog to move into my new place. Can anyone tell me where I can get it done and how much it costs for the cats and a dog? Thank you
Let me update this: I googled it and I can't find any info on Chico CA, licensing.
Can anyone from Chico help me out?

Our County is approved for online dog licenses, so I don't need to go anywhere. Search your county 2009 dog licenses online and see what comes up. I ordered our 4 dog licenses online and received them all in the mail in 2 days. The cost here depends on if your dog is neutered/spayed or not....cheaper if they are.

Pet Smart, Petco, and Pet Supply Plus, or your local courthouse, I paid $6.50 for both my dogs if you are on SSI or Social Security I believe you pay $4.50 per dog. Call your local pet stores.

you may want to check with a local vet. they should be able to help you, if they cant, im sure they can lead you to the correct place, which i would think would be animal control or something.

Town Hall is normally the place or I am sure they can point you in the right direction.

Call your county courthouse, they should be able to tell you where licenses are sold.

Where I live, we go to the city office downtown and register our pets there. Prices are different for dogs and cats and also usually depend on whether or not they are spayed or neutered. Usually prices are cheaper if they are fixed. For three years it cost me 20.00 to license Baxter

Many vets also provide this service. I also agree that you should simply call your Humane Society and they will direct you to the appropriate agency in your area, as those differ from city to city.

Have you contacted your local shelter? They usually handle licensing of animals. Otherwise, call the city licensing department, or Google it - many cities allow you to license pets online.

Start by calling your town health officer or boro clerk, they will tell you the instructions for your town. Mine was around 8.00 each pet.
