my dog that ive had for 3yrs use the potty pad to pee but most of the times not to you know...poop

You have to train them to go to the bathroom that way the same way you did before... its going to take a little bit longer because your dog has been doing it the other way. Dont get discouraged.. just keep training.. if you need help with it grab up a book or talk to a local trainer
