I don't know about any cities Marcello, but I do know that Newburyport, Massachusetts is a very pet-friendly seaside town. We enjoy visiting frequently. Baby is welcomed into the shops. She always meets many new friends, lots and lots of people walk their dogs there. It's alot of fun and everyone stops and talks to you about the animals.

Even though I don't live there, I would have to say for visiting that Stowe, VT is really pet-friendly. Most hotels there let you keep pets and there are a number of pet daycare places if you are staying somewhere that does not allow pets. Many stores allow dogs inside and even some restaurants let pets in. We even take Rusty!
As for activities, Stowe may be a ski resort but there are so many state parks and other activities to do that include your dog! Bike paths (for walking as well), parks, etc. etc. . . . It is my family's favorite vacation spot in the summer (we aren't the skiing type).
