Tonka's ears get very yucky, other that an expensive vet remedy, what else can be used?

You can use a half strength apple cider vinegar/water mix to cleanse the ears. This helps with fungal and bacterial growth.

My vet told me this: To prevent infection, mix 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 rubbing alcohol: put 4 drops in each ear twice a week. I also used this mix to wipe down ear flaps for cleaning.
