Q: What would be the perfect name for the newest member of my family?

I was walking down the alley last night when I found a beautiful young male orange tabby. He was very friendly and came right to me. He is very thin and has sores all over his body from scratching. The neighbors said the neighborhood stray had had a litter so because I figured he was one of her babies I took him home with me. He is very loving and playful but before he can officially become part of my family he has to get a name. I hope someone can help me choose the perfect name for this little guy. Thanks.

I have this dog nmes group I have made up..but some of the names could be for a cat too...they are all male names anyway. Check out my group. I think Rico or Fez would be cute. Or soda pop. LOL that's cute! Cute cat by the way!

Here are some other names I found on a baby name website related to the color red. Rufus, Russell, Flannery and Reed all mean with red hair. Rory means red king and Adam means red earth. Roy means red. Maybe you'd want to call him something related to that such as Rob Roy.

I had a kitten named "Rowan". It is Gaelic and means "little red one" By the looks of your photograph, it would be quite fitting for your new baby if you like the name that is. My kitty didn't fit the description but I loved the name so I used it anyway.

I think you should name him Cynero after the poet who spoke the words of love for his friend to get the girl of his dreams, I say this because he came to you with love in his heart even after all he had been through, so I would consider him a lover not a fighter!!! He must of been scared and in pain from the sores, yet he showed you love, its only fitting he be named after a lover of love. Good Luck, and bless you for what you did.

A friend of mine has a rescue dog that was skinny and sickly when she got him. She called him Stix.
